Social-Eyes
Social-Eyes is an app where people who are sensitive to triggers would be able to blur them out and more proactively regulate the content they see online.
-
Problem
Many users experience unwanted and sudden content while scrolling through social media.
-
Solution
To create an app that would censor the user selected content without interrupting the flow of their experience.
-
Approach
Create a business plan and analysis of market to identify and define users. Create low fi mockup. Iterate.
low fi mockup
During the second iteration, my task was to create a working prototype using Figma and start user testing to gain feedback. The other UX designers were able to provide me with an lo fi mockup to get things started.
Using this lo fi mockup and data from a small user testing set, I was able to create the next iteration.

From our user data, the main reason for downloading mental health apps were ease of use, aesthetics, and individual experience. At this stage of the iteration, it was important that the users navigate the app easily.
In this iteration, I improved on the overall readability of the app and the seamlessness between pages.
Creating a white page that wipes up from the bottom of the screen helped improve the contrast with the text making it more legible.
Adding transitions in Figma made the app much more fluid.
Frequently used functions were focussed on the page and less used features were moved to other pages to declutter.
Reflection
Creating different high fidelity versions of the same app within 2 weeks was definitely a challenge but it was a great chance for me to learn more about Figma and improve the speed of my workflow. I’m really proud of what I designed and feel that the improvements I’ve made helped create a much more fluid design.
